Talking about "Cover Versions"

These are very cool.
You would be interested in these as well… http://sleevage.com/the-modernist-editions/

They are modernist (?!) versions of well known albums, kinda like playing Pictionary or something to try and decode them. Was pretty fun to go through and try to figure them out.

Sleeveage is a cool website if you are into covers. There is a few from Sydney company Debaser featured up there too.

Ah, love Debaser, saw them talk at Semi-P a year ago or so. Seem like very down to earth dudes. Yeah I love the video game penguin version covers under the modernist stuff. It’s such a good idea, nice little exercise.

Thanks for the link!

Zoltan reckons...

Those are brilliant. Album artwork is a great medium that’s too often overlooked.

Will reckons...

What a brilliant marriage of book covers and album artwork! I love the colour palette. I have been obsessed with the old Pelican and Penguin covers for awhile now. Here a few links of inspiration. Arturo reckons...

Yeah I’m just messing around with HTML.

Just wanted to Share this animation because it’s a great example of simple animation loops and how effective they can be. Subtle or fluid loops of simple actions is really all we have time for in 33 frames.
My Holga
Her name is Holga. She does beautiful things to people. Unashamedly cheap and easy to handle. A bit clunky around the edges and with no intention to hang around forever. Most importantly, the lady won’t say no too a little duct tape. She’s my plastic, french, fire engine red lomography camera and my current infatuation.
Waking Life
A rotoscoped medley of deep ideas and philosophic though, Waking Life is a crafted experience that discuss individuals and ideas within the context of Dreams.
