So I kind of missed a few things in completing The Groop web build, one of them being the addition of our standard
Rules Of Engagement aka our “Read This Before Contributing” blurb which lays the ground rules for playing in the sandpit. These rules are necessary, I think so anyway, although ours tend to be an extremely loose framework in which to have a really good think about what you’re thinking before you say something along the lines of “That is fucked on so many levels..I knew these people were parasites..but this pretty sad. I pity any of the desperate fucks who will sign up for this…”. It turns out FlipYourWig has an
interesting past: “FlipYourWig has been a member since July 4, 2008. Starting 4 Topics, replying 60 times and has 0 Friends on Mess+Noise.” 60 replies in a year and looks like we scored the user’s most promising work. Nice.

Whatever they’re sticking in the Weet-Bix over in Western Australia … it’s working. It seems like each corner you take there’s a creative-beautiful-intelligent-genius/all of the above that you’re taking a brief to or being blown away by during pitch. Case in point Modular’s branding ambassador and all around creative gun, Sara Grieve, the lady in charge of ensuring Modular doesn’t stray from the shining path it glides along.
Originally from a gnarly little bogan patch that goes under the moniker of Mandurah, she flew the coop to study arts management at WAAPA in Perth, then sliding into visual arts and communication in photomedia. Stints in graphic designer/photographer let to exhibiting some works, which may, or may not have, led her to help starting up Hole In The Sky, your new favourite best new record label, where she led the art direction.
A 78 miles pre hour ride in the back of a DeLorean saw Sarah arrive in Sydney, riding into the Modular wave, and bringing all the amazing energy hidden inside a Western Australian Weet-Bix with her.
